Accommodation
Located in the heart of the forest at Le
Touquet and immediately adjacent to the
golf courses, France’s most famous golf
hotel is within easy reach of the town’s
charming centre.
Le Manoir was originally a family residence,
but now offers golfers excellent 3* hospital-
ity courtesy of its 41 bedrooms. The quin-
tessential charms of the traditional house
have been retained, but visitors will find
rooms that are well equipped with modern
amenities and decorated beautifully.
The golf courses are on your doorstep, and
while the hotel is pretty quiet, the
attractions of Le Touquet are just minutes
away, which is exactly why Le Manoir
continues to be such a favourite with
regular golf holiday visitors to the famous
Northern resort town.
On site at Le Manoir is a large heated
outdoor swimming pool, while you can
also take advantage of the tennis court and
snooker room.
Le Touquet is not all about golf; local
activities include horse-riding and cycling
in the beach or forest, and sports like sand-
surfing on the famous coastline.
Golf
Le Touquet Golf itself boasts two marvel-
lous 18-hole layouts, with the uncompro-
mising La Mer at the forefront. This coastal
gem is tough yet visually stunning, and is
contrasted by the parkland layout of La
Foret. Play here, as well as local gems like
Hardelot and Belle Dune.

Accommodation
Opened in 1924, the hotel was named after
the Duchess of Westminster, and was a
meeting place of the great and the good of
Paris, Northern France and even Britain in
its early days.
None of the glamour has been lost today,
as the Westminster is still one of the most
desirable hotels in Le Touquet.
The 115 bedrooms are beautifully ap-
pointed, and are designed to marry the
principles of traditional style and modern
functionality. Striking pieces of period
furniture are dotted throughout the hotel,
including a number of chairs designed
by Jules Leleu, a master of the Art Deco
period.
This special hotel is a classy central option
for a holiday, where you will enjoy the gran-
deur that first put Le Touquet on the map.
Hotel Westminster has its own deluxe
spa and swimming pool, while the nearby
beach is the place to try a wide range of
water and adventure sports.
Golf
From the elegant doors of the Westminster,
you have your pick of the best golf in
Pas-de-Calais. La Mer and La Foret at
nearby Le Touquet are, of course, splendid
options.
Both 18-hole tests, their styles are notably
different, adding plenty of variety to your
golf escape to the area.

LE TOUQUET GOLF
AVENUE DU GOLF, LE TOUQUET
La Mer Course
La Mer is Golf du Touquet’s crowning glory,
and has frequently hosted prestigious pro-
fessional tournaments, including the French
Open on numerous occasions. Opened in
1931,
the course is distinctly reminiscent of
a Scottish links, thanks to designer Harry
Colt, who is beast known for his projects at
Sunningdale, Wentworth and St. George’s
Hill. Measuring 6,862 yards, La Mer
overlooks the wild dunes and the Channel
coastline, and is without doubt one of
France’s most prestigious destinations.
La Foret Course
La Foret is the oldest course at Golf du
Touquet, having been inaugurated in 1904.
In stark contrast to its rugged sister course,
La Foret is carved through stunning pine
woodland with some beautiful holes.
At 6,365 yards, La Foret is not particularly
long, but Horace Hutchinson’s creation
demands accuracy from the tee, especially
in the summer when the fairways are hard
and bouncy.
Le Manoir Course
Golf du Touquet’s third course is Le Manoir,
and although it is only nine holes, it is no
pitch and putt. The par-35 track demands
every weapon in the arsenal, and is perfect
not only for beginners, but also the more
seasoned golfer.
Golf du Touquet has a dedicated short
game practice area and a 20-bay driving
range with both grass and artificial grass,
while local caddies are also available on
request.
